Oedipus Rex

Oedipus Rex is a very old and famous story that was written a long time ago. It is about a man named Oedipus who was a king.

Oedipus was a very brave and strong man, but he had a big problem. When he was born, a bad thing was said about him - that he would grow up to marry his mother and kill his father. This made Oedipus very sad and scared, so he left his home and went far away to live with different people who didn't know who he was.

When he grew up, he became a very powerful man and eventually became a king. But one day, he found out that his wife was actually his mother, and the man he had killed long ago was actually his father. This made him very upset and confused because he never wanted to do those bad things.

The story teaches us that sometimes things happen that we can't control, and even if we don't want to do bad things, we might end up doing them anyway.
