Olive branch

Okay kiddo, imagine two friends had a fight and they don't want to be mad at each other anymore. One of them goes and picks a leafy branch with olives on it (that's called an olive branch) and gives it to the other friend. This means they want to make peace and be friends again. It's like saying sorry and making up with a present. And that's what an olive branch is all about - it's a symbol of peace and friendship.
