Oven

An oven is a big box that gets hot and helps cook food. It has a door that you can open and close, usually made of glass so you can see inside. Inside the oven there are metal racks that can be moved up or down. These racks hold pans, trays, or dishes with food on them. When you turn on the oven, it gets really hot and it makes the air inside the oven hot too. This heat helps cook the food. Some ovens have a timer that helps you know when the food is cooked and others beep to tell you when it's ready. There are different types of ovens, like ones that cook with gas and ones that use electricity. Always be careful when using an oven because it can get really hot and it's not safe to touch when it's on.
