ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Over-illumination

Hey kiddo, do you know what over-illumination means? It's when there's too much light in a space, like if all the lights in your room were on at once and it's too bright for your eyes.

When there's too much light, it can make it hard to see and cause eye strain. Plus, it's not very good for the environment because it wastes energy and can contribute to light pollution, which means there's so much light that we can't see the stars at night.

So, it's important to make sure we have the right amount of light in a space - not too little, but also not too much. That way, we can see what we're doing and not waste energy or harm the environment.
