ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Overvolting

Overvolting is like giving your toy car more batteries than it needs. Sometimes, people want their electronic devices to work faster or harder than they are designed to, so they add more electrical power to them.

This might make the device work better or faster, but it can also make it break or even catch fire. Just like your toy car might spin out of control or overheat if you give it too many batteries.

Overvolting can be dangerous for both the device and the person using it, so it's important to only do it if you know what you're doing and have taken all the necessary precautions.
