Pargeting

Pargeting is like wearing fancy clothes for buildings. Just like how we like to wear clothes to look nice, pargeting is a way to decorate and make buildings look pretty. It's usually done by adding designs made from plaster or stucco onto the outside walls of a building. People have been doing it for a very long time, even way before we had paint or wallpaper. In the olden days, pargeting was used to show off how rich and important the owner of the building was. Nowadays, pargeting is more of an art form used to add character to a building. So the next time you see a building with fancy designs on its walls, that's pargeting!
