ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Peak minerals

Peak minerals are minerals that are used in many of the things that help us in our everyday lives. These minerals are made of metals and rocks below the surface of the earth. They are important because we use them to make things like computers, cars, and even the paint on our walls. As more people use these minerals, the supply of them gets smaller. This means that one day we may not have enough of these minerals left to make all the things we need. This is why we call them peak minerals - it means that we are reaching the peak, or highest point, in the supply of these minerals.
