Perseverance (or “Rover”) is an spacecraft that was launched by NASA in 2020. It is sent to Mars to explore the planet and collect data about the environment and rocks that it comes across. It is powered by solar panels and is controlled by people on Earth. The spacecraft is able to travel long distances, take pictures, and collect samples from the ground. The goal of this mission is to find evidence of past or present life on Mars. Perseverance is an example of perseverance because it is taking a long journey and is facing many obstacles, but still sticking with it. It is also able to take new data and learn from every experience.
