Phallic stage

Hey kiddo, do you remember when you were a baby and liked to put everything in your mouth? Well, that's actually a stage in life called the oral stage.

Now, the phallic stage is another stage that comes after that when you're a little bit older, around 3 to 5 years old. During this stage, you'll start to become more aware of your body parts, especially your private parts.

You'll notice that boys and girls have different private parts, and you might also start to develop a sense of gender identity, which means knowing whether you're a boy or a girl.

During this stage, you might also start to have some funny feelings in your private parts, like tingling or wanting to touch yourself. Don't worry, that's completely normal and happens to a lot of kids at this age.

So, that's the phallic stage – a time when you're starting to learn about your private parts and exploring your own body. Remember, it's okay to be curious and ask questions about this stage, but make sure to ask a trusted adult who can give you the right answers.
