ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Physician–patient privilege

Physician-patient privilege is when you can talk to your doctor in private, and your doctor and the hospital they work at are not allowed to share what you talk about with anyone else. That way, you can feel comfortable telling your doctor whatever is going on with you, and your doctor can help you without worrying that your family and friends will find out. It's like a rule that tells your doctor to keep your conversations and health information secret.
