Attorney–client privilege

Attorney-client privilege is like a special rule that helps keep conversations between you and your lawyer private. That means that no one, not even a judge or the police, can make your lawyer tell them what you said when you were talking to each other. That way, you can be honest and open with your lawyer, and you will know that the things you tell them won't be shared with anyone else.
