ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Piggybacking (Internet access)

Imagine you're at a pizza party, and all the adults are eating pizza. But you're too tiny to reach the table, so you can't have any pizza. But then you see one of the adults sharing pizza with someone else, and you realize you can get your own piece if you go stand next to the person they're sharing with - you'll be close enough to grab a slice.

This is kind of like piggybacking on someone else's internet. Sometimes, like at a coffee shop or other public place, the Wi-Fi is only available to people who have paid for it or signed in with a password. But if you're nearby someone who has access, you can "piggyback" on their connection and use the internet too without needing your own login.

It's important to remember that this isn't always okay, especially if you're accessing private information or doing things that could get you in trouble with the law. It's like how you shouldn't take someone else's toys without asking - it's not nice or fair, even if you really want them. So ask permission before you use someone else's internet, and only do things that you know are okay.
