Polytropic process

Do you remember when you played with a balloon, and you blew it up with your mouth? It got bigger, right? That's kind of like a polytropic process.
Sometimes we need to change things like gases or air, and we do it in different ways. A polytropic process is just one of those ways where the gas changes as we work with it.
In this process, the pressure and volume of the gas change, but not in the same way.
It's like if you squeezed the balloon while blowing air into it, you would make it smaller but blow it up at the same time.
So, basically, a polytropic process is a way of changing gases by squeezing or expanding them, while the pressure and volume change in different ways.
