Prevention of dementia

Hey there kiddo! Dementia is a big word that means having problems remembering things and thinking clearly. It can become a big challenge for grown-ups as they grow older.

But the good news is that we can take some steps to prevent or delay dementia. Here are some things we can do:

1. Exercise: This means moving our bodies and being active regularly, like running, cycling, or dancing. It helps keep our blood flowing and our brains healthy.

2. Eating healthy food: We need to eat a balanced diet with lots of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. We should limit sugary treats and junk food.

3. Sleep well: We need to get plenty of sleep to help our brains function well. We need at least 8 hours of sleep every night.

4. Stimulate our brains: We can challenge ourselves with activities like puzzles, reading, and learning new things. This helps our brain stay sharp.

5. Stay socially active: This means spending time with family and friends, participating in group activities, and even volunteering. It helps keep our brains engaged and prevent isolation.

By doing all these things, we can help prevent dementia and lead a happier and healthier life.
