Printing press

The printing press was a special machine that made it easier for people to quickly and easily make copies of books and other written works. It was invented in the 1400s and worked by pressing movable type onto paper. People would set up the type on a type holder and then press it onto the paper. This made it possible to make lots of identical copies of books and other written works in a short period of time.
