Public participation geographic information system

A public participation geographic information system (PPGIS) is a type of computer system that allows people to share their ideas and opinions about a particular area or project using interactive maps. By using PPGIS, people can make their voices heard in planning and decision-making processes. People can put pins on a map to show where they live, work, go to school, or where they think a park should be built. They can also read what other people have said about the same area. This helps people come together to decide what should be done to improve their community.
