Puputan

Puputan is a Balinese word that means "ending" or "finishing." It is used to describe a traditional Balinese practice, which unfortunately refers to a violent event that occurred in Bali's history.

Instead of surrendering or fleeing, however, they decided to take their own lives. It was a very sad event, and many people died that day.

Today, puputan is remembered as a sign of the Balinese people's bravery and determination to protect their culture and traditions. However, it is also a reminder of the violence and suffering that can result from conflicts between different groups of people. So, it is important to always try to work towards peace and understanding, even when disagreements arise.
