Purgatory

Purgatory is a kind of waiting room. It's like a bridge between Earth and Heaven. It's a place where people who have done bad things but want to get to Heaven can go to be cleansed and forgiven by God so they can enter Heaven. In Purgatory, people feel like they are being punished but they are also given a chance to be clean and make up for the bad things they have done. After their time in Purgatory, they may be allowed into Heaven.
