Reef

Hey kiddo, do you know that there are some places in the ocean that are filled with lots of colorful fishes and plants? We call these places reefs!

Reefs are made up of lots of tiny animals called polyps. These polyps sit together and form a hard structure like a wall, which protects them and gives them a home. They also have a special type of algae in their tissues that helps them make food from sunlight, just like trees do on land.

So, these polyps build their homes together and create a big, beautiful reef. And because the reef is home to so many different types of fishes and other creatures, it's like a whole little town underwater!

Many people like to explore the reefs and see all the cool creatures that live there. But it's important to be careful when visiting reefs because they are delicate and can be damaged easily. We want to make sure that the reefs stay healthy and all the fish and creatures have a safe and happy home.
