ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Reformed epistemology

Reformed epistemology is a way of looking at how people can know things and how reliable their knowledge is. The idea is that it is OK if someone doesn't have solid proof to support their beliefs - it's more important that they have a reason to believe a certain thing even if they can't prove it. For example, if a person believes that they are a good driver, they don't need to be able to show proof, they just need to believe it.
