Saccade

A saccade is when your eyes quickly move from one spot to another. It's kind of like when you jump from one rock to another when you're crossing a river. Your eyes will jump from looking at one spot to looking at another spot very quickly. Saccades help to keep your eyes focused on one place and make it easier to read and look around.
