Safety integrity level

Safety Integrity Level (SIL) is a measure that talks about how safe a system needs to be in order to protect people from harm. It looks at how reliably a system works and how possible it is for the system to fail. A higher SIL score means that the system is very reliable and not likely to fail, while a lower SIL score means that the system is less reliable and more likely to fail.
