Secularization

Secularization is when something becomes less religious in nature. When something is secularized, the power of organized religion is weakened. For example, in a country that is secularized, the laws are based on civil rights and not religious beliefs. Different people of all faiths and no faith can live together in peace and are treated equally under the law.
