ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sedition Caucus

Okay, so there are some people who work in a big group called the US Congress. Some of these people belong to a group called the Sedition Caucus. They are called this because they did things that could be against the law, like trying to change the results of the presidential election in 2020. This is called sedition, which is like being really mean and trying to take away something important that belongs to someone else.

Now, Congress is supposed to be a place where people can talk and argue about things, but they are also supposed to follow the law and be fair. The Sedition Caucus didn't do that. They tried to do something that could make a lot of people upset and angry, and they knew it was wrong. That's why they are called the Sedition Caucus, because what they did was like a bad thing that could get them in trouble.

It's important for people like the Sedition Caucus to be held accountable for their actions, so that everyone knows that it's not okay to do something bad just because you want to win or have power. Sometimes people make mistakes or disagree with each other, but they should always try to do what is right and fair.
