ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Semi-democracy

Semi-democracy is when a country is run by a mix of democracy and country leaders. This means that the people of the country get to vote in some elections on different topics and issues, but they don't get to choose who is in charge. Instead, the people get to choose some of their leaders, and the country's leaders get to choose the rest of their leaders. This type of government system is called semi-democracy because it's half democracy and half country leaders.
