ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sermon on the Plain

A long long time ago, there was a wise and kind man named Jesus. One day, he climbed to the top of a big hill to talk to his friends and followers. This special talk is called the "Sermon on the Plain".

Jesus started by talking about how happy people who love others are, even when things are difficult. He said they will be rewarded in heaven. He also talked about how sad people who don't care for others will be, and how they will be punished.

Jesus then talked about how important it is to help people who are less fortunate than ourselves, like the poor and hungry. He told his followers to treat others the way they want to be treated themselves.

Jesus also talked about how we shouldn't judge other people and make them feel bad about themselves. Instead, we should try to understand and forgive them when they make mistakes.

Finally, Jesus finished by telling his followers that they should always trust in God and have faith in him. This means believing that he loves us, and that he will always take care of us no matter what happens.

In the end, the Sermon on the Plain was a special message from Jesus that taught everyone to be kind, caring and loving towards others in our daily lives.
