Shape

Shape is how things look on the outside. It's like when you draw a circle or a square, those are shapes. But shapes can also be things like a tree, a house, or even a person. When you look at something and think about what it looks like, you're thinking about its shape.

Shapes can be different sizes and colors too. Some shapes are really big like a mountain, and some are really small like a tiny bug. Some shapes are red, blue, yellow, or all sorts of other colors.

Shapes are all around us, in everything we see and even in things we can't see, like the atoms that make up everything in the world. And because shapes are so important to understanding the world, scientists and mathematicians study them to learn even more about how things work.
