Sit-ups are a type of exercise that helps you work out your tummy muscles. When you do a sit-up, you lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet on the ground. Then you lift your head, shoulders, and upper body off the ground while keeping your feet on the ground.

It's like doing a really big crunch with your tummy. When you lift your upper body up, your tummy muscles get a good workout. You might even feel a little burn in your tummy muscles if you do enough sit-ups.

It's important to remember to do sit-ups correctly so you don't hurt yourself. Always have someone show you how to do them properly and start with a small number of sit-ups before you work your way up to more. Always make sure you have the proper form so you can get the most out of your sit-ups.
