Slavery in Britain

Slavery in Britain means that people in Britain were once forced to work for other people without being paid for their work. Slavery in Britain happened many years ago, but it was a really bad thing and it should have never happened. British people didn't have the same rights as other people and were treated badly by the people who owned them. They were treated like property, or like things that could be bought and sold. This was wrong and not fair.
