ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Social inclusion

Social inclusion is when everyone gets to be a part of the fun and nobody gets left out. It's like when you're playing a game with your friends, and you make sure that everyone gets a turn and nobody is left standing alone on the sidelines.

In real life, social inclusion means making sure that people of all different backgrounds and abilities feel welcome and valued. This can include people who might look or act a little different, or who have different abilities than you do.

For example, if someone uses a wheelchair, social inclusion means making sure that there are ramps and accessible pathways for them to move around freely. Social inclusion also means being kind and understanding towards people who might be struggling with mental health issues, or who speak a different language than you do.

Overall, social inclusion means treating other people like you would want to be treated, and making sure that everyone gets to be a part of the fun.
