Social norm

A social norm is a way of behaving that people in a particular society usually do. It's like an unspoken rule of how most people think it's right to act in a certain situation. For example, people usually say "please" and "thank you" when they ask for something or when someone does something nice for them. Another example of a social norm is that it's not polite to push people or call them names. Social norms help everyone in a society get along and work together.
