Space-based industry

Okay kiddo, you know how people build things like cars, planes, and buildings on Earth, right? Well, some people want to build things in space too! This is called the space-based industry.

It all starts with rockets. Just like a car needs gasoline to move, a rocket needs fuel to lift off the ground and go into space. Once it's up there, it can carry all kinds of things like satellites, telescopes, and even people to do experiments and build things.

But why build things in space? Well, some things are just easier to do there. For example, if you want to make things with very precise parts, it can be hard to do on Earth because of gravity. In space, things float around, so you don't have to worry about things falling or being pulled down.

Another reason to build things in space is to help us learn more about the universe. Telescopes in space can see things that telescopes on Earth can't, like planets orbiting other stars far away.
