Sudden unexpected death syndrome

Sudden unexpected death syndrome (SUDS) is when someone dies suddenly and without warning, usually while they are sleeping. This can be scary because it can happen to anyone at any age, and there is usually no way to prevent it. SUDS usually happens to people with certain health conditions that the doctor can't see, or can't explain. It is not caused by anything the person did wrong, and doctors don't always know why it happens.
