Syriac alphabet

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen the alphabet we use to write words in English? Like A, B, C, and so on? Well, the Syriac alphabet is like that, but it's used to write in a different language called Syriac.

Syriac is a language that people in parts of the Middle East have been speaking for a really long time, even before English was invented. It's still spoken by some people today, but mostly it's used for religious purposes by Christians in the area.

The Syriac alphabet has 22 letters, just like the English alphabet. But the letters look totally different! They have different shapes and lines that make them unique.

Each letter makes a different sound, just like how each letter in English makes a different sound. But since Syriac is a different language, the sounds are different too.

So, the Syriac alphabet is like a special set of letters that people use to write in Syriac, which is a language they use in parts of the Middle East. It's kind of like how we use the English alphabet to write in English!
