ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

System theory

System theory is the idea that everything is connected and works together in a system, just like the way your body works together to do things like run or jump. There are lots of different types of systems, like a car or a computer, and each one has different parts that work together.

For example, think about a car. It has an engine, wheels, brakes, steering wheel, and gas pedal. All of these parts work together to make the car go. If one part isn't working, like the brakes, then the whole system doesn't work properly.

System theory is important because it helps us understand how things work together and how changes in one part of the system can affect the entire system. It's like a big puzzle and each piece is important for the whole picture to make sense.

People use system theory in many different fields, like science, engineering, and psychology. By understanding how things work together in a system, we can create better things, solve problems more effectively, and make our lives easier overall.
