ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tanker (ship)

A tanker is like a big bathtub that can float on the water. Instead of water, it carries a lot of another liquid, like oil or gas. It has a big opening at the top to fill it up, and a pipe at the bottom to unload the liquid. Sometimes, it can also have big hoses or arms that can stretch out to the shore to pump or offload the liquid. It is usually used to transport oil or gas from one place to another across the ocean or seas. The size of a tanker can vary from small to really, really big – like a hundred school buses put together!
