Tautology (language)

A tautology is a type of statement that repeats the same ideas over and over. It's like when you say something twice in exactly the same way. For example, you might say "He always eats himself a snack." This statement is not true because people don't actually eat themselves. But saying "He always eats himself a snack snack" is a tautology because you are repeating the same idea twice.
