ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tautology (logic)

In logical terms, a tautology is a statement that is always true. It's like saying the same thing twice. For example, "I have one or more apples" is a tautology, because it's saying the same thing twice (you either have one or more apples... so either way, if you have one, you also have more). It doesn't matter if we change the words, like saying "I have one or several apples" - it's still the same statement, so it's still always true.
