Text mining

Text mining is a way of using computers to look for patterns in large amounts of text. It is like a treasure hunt - the computer “looks” through the text to find words or phrases that might be useful. For example, a computer might be used to look through news articles to find articles about a specific topic. The computer looks for words that appear in the articles that are related to the topic and then puts them together to make a list of articles about the topic.
