Okay kiddo, do you know what clothes are made of? Yes, that's right, they're made of fabric! But where does the fabric come from? Well, fabric is made from a bunch of tiny fibers.
These fibers can come from lots of different sources, like plants (like cotton) or animals (like wool from sheep). They're spun together into a thread, and then woven or knitted into the fabric you see.
It's kind of like making a friendship bracelet - you start with lots of little strings, and then you braid or knot them together to make a bracelet. Except with fabric, you're starting with lots of tiny fibers instead of strings.
Once the fabric is made, it can be dyed all different colors and patterns, and then it's ready to be made into all kinds of things like clothes, bags, and blankets. And that's how fabric (or "textile") is made!
