Troy

Troy is like playing with Legos. You know how you build a really cool Lego castle or spaceship? Well, a long time ago, adults played with toys like that too, called bricks. But instead of making castles, they made a big city. That city was called Troy.

It was a really popular place to live, but it had a lot of problems. A group of people, called the Greeks, wanted to take over Troy. So they built a big wooden horse, like a toy. But inside the horse, instead of toys, there were soldiers hiding.

The Trojans thought it was a nice gift and brought it inside their city. But that was a big mistake! In the middle of the night, the soldiers got out of the horse and opened the gates of Troy so the Greek army could come inside the city and attack.

They fought for a really long time and finally the Greeks won. They burned the city down and took everything valuable. That's why Troy isn't a real city anymore. But some people think it was a really important place, so they built a big museum there that you can visit and see what it looked like a long, long time ago.
