ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tuition fees

Tuition fees are like the money you give to go to school. Just like you need to pay to buy toys or candy, your parents need to pay for you to go to school. This money is used to pay for things like teachers, books, and the building where you go to learn.

It’s like going to a store to buy something. When your parents take you to the store, they need to pay for the things you want to buy. In the same way, they need to pay for you to learn new things in school.

When you grow up and go to college, you may need to pay more money for tuition. This is because college is a bigger school, and it costs more money to run. It’s like buying a bigger toy that costs more money.

Sometimes, the government helps people who don’t have a lot of money to pay for tuition. So, everyone can go to school and have the chance to learn and create a better future.
