Ultramontanism

Ultramontanism is a belief that the Pope (the leader of the Catholic Church) should have a lot of power, and that the Pope should have the highest authority over all other churches and religious leaders. People who believe in ultramontanism think that the Pope should be able to influence decisions made by other churches or religious leaders.
