ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unibody

Okay kiddo, do you know what a car is made of? It's made of lots of different parts that fit together to make the car work. One of those parts is called the frame. The frame is like a skeleton that holds the car together and keeps it strong.

Now, some cars have frames that are made in separate pieces and then they are attached together. But some cars have frames that are made from one single piece of metal. That's called a unibody.

Think of it like building a house. If you build a house with separate pieces of wood and nails, it might not be as strong as if you built the house out of one solid piece of concrete. The same goes for cars. A unibody frame makes the car stronger and safer because it's all one piece.

So, that's what unibody means kiddo. It's when the frame of a car is made from one solid piece of metal instead of many separate pieces put together.
