View-through rate

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about something called view-through rate. Have you ever watched a video advertisement on YouTube or saw an ad on a website and then later on, remember seeing the brand or product somewhere else? That's kind of what view-through rate is all about.

Let's say you're looking at a website and there's an advertisement for a toy car that you don't click on, but you do look at it for a little while before moving on. Later on, you see the same toy car in the store and decide you want to buy it. Well, even though you didn't click the ad, the company behind the toy car can see that you saw their ad and then ended up buying the toy car. That's what view-through rate means - it measures how many people saw an ad and then later on, had some kind of interaction with the advertised product or brand.

View-through rate is important for companies to understand how effective their advertising is. Even if people don't click on an ad, they may still remember the brand or product, and that can lead to them buying it later on. So, view-through rate helps companies know if their ads are being seen and if they're having an impact, even if people don't click on them right away.
