ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Behavioral targeting

Behavioral targeting is when companies try to show you ads online that are related to things that you might be interested in. For example, if you like buying stuff online, the company might show you ads for new products that you could buy. Companies do this by watching what websites you visit, what you search for, and what kinds of videos you watch. Then, they use those things to figure out which ads would be best for you.
