ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Visegrád Group

Ok kiddo, let's talk about the Visegrád Group! It's a special club for some countries in Europe. The club has four members: Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Imagine you have a group of friends that like to do the same things, like play with blocks or draw pictures. You can call yourselves a cool name like "block buddies". These countries are kind of like that, they are friends that like to work together and do things that help each other out.

Now, let's talk about why they created this group. They all used to be part of a bigger group called the Soviet Union, a long time ago. When the Soviet Union broke up, they became independent countries. But, they still had lots of things in common and had problems they wanted to solve together.

They wanted to make it easier for people and goods to move around between their countries, so they created a special agreement called the Visegrád Agreement. That's why sometimes this group of countries is called the Visegrád Four or V4 for short.

They also wanted to talk about how they can work together to make their countries better places to live. They also wanted to share ideas about how to make their economies stronger and help each other out if they ever needed it.

So, the Visegrád Group is a special group of four countries in Europe who are all friends and work together to make their countries better places to live.
