ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Voltmeter

A voltmeter is a tool that helps us measure how much electrical power is flowing through something. It has a little screen that shows us a number that tells us how powerful the electricity is. We use the voltmeter to check things like batteries, electrical outlets, and other things that use electricity. Think of it like a thermometer but instead of measuring temperature, it measures electricity. Just like how we use a thermometer to check if we have a fever or not, we use a voltmeter to check how strong the electricity is.
