Wildlife smuggling and zoonoses

Wildlife smuggling is when people take animals, plants, and other natural things illegally out of one country and into another without permission. This is bad because it can hurt the environment, and can spread zoonoses, which are diseases that jump from animals and creatures living in the wild to humans. Zoonoses can also jump from people to wild animals or other creatures. Wildlife smuggling means that these diseases can get spread much more easily, making more people and animals sick. That is why it is important for people to only buy and sell animals, plants, and other natural things that were gathered and traded legally and responsibly.
