Wood gas

Wood gas is a type of fuel that is made from wood. You start by burning wood in a special machine called a wood gasifier. The wood gasifier uses a process called 'gasification', which basically means that it takes the wood and breaks it down into a gas instead of burning it as usual. The gas that is produced is made up mostly of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and methane. This gas can then be used to power things like generators or even cars.
